We had an amazing weekend in San Francisco where we took home a Good Food Foundation award in the snack category for our Original Salted Pretzels! The judging consists of a "rigorous vetting process to verify they were not only exceptionally tasty, but met the sustainability and social responsibility criteria required," recognizing the deliciousness of our pretzels but also the work we've done to source locally and reduce waste in our manufacturing and distribution.
There was a blind tasting from a variety of food experts and almost 2000 entries to compete against. Everything we tasted throughout the weekend, and it was a lot, was truly incredible. The awards themselves were even hosted by food luminaries Alice Waters, Dolores Huerta, and Michael Pollan!
We had a great time celebrating, connecting, and getting more pretzels out there at a local farmer's market and a trade show for award winners. The weekend helped lay out some important groundwork for 2020 and beyond! Here's a full list of winners, of the 219 products in 16 categories, 11 were from Colorado! What a great place to have a craft food business!
